Hosting (also known as Web site hosting, Web hosting, and Webhosting)
is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more Web sites. More important than the computer space that is provided for Web site files is the fast connection to the Internet. Our hosting services offer connections on T-carrier system lines. Typically, an individual business hosting its own site would require a similar connection and it would be expensive. Using a hosting service lets many companies share the cost of a fast Internet connection for serving files.

Features:
We support the following among others - PHP databases, MySQL databases, Remote SQL databases, PostgreSQL databases, Frontpage extensions. These can be hosted on Windows or Linux servers.

Summary Email Features:
Email Authentication:
Email authentication is the effort to equip messages of the email transport system with enough verifiable information so that recipients can recognize the nature of each incoming message automatically. Enabling email authentication will help fight the spread of spam. We make use of two methods to prevent forged mail from going in and out of your server. The great benefit of enabling these methods is to prevent mail from looking like it is coming from your domain(s).

DomainKeys:
DomainKeys is an e-mail authentication system that allows for incoming mail to be checked against the server it was sent from to verify that the mail has not been modified. This ensures that messages are actually coming from the listed sender and allows abusive messages to be tracked with more ease.

SPF:
SPF will specify which machines are authorized to send email from your domain(s). This means that only mail sent through this server will appear as valid mail from your domain(s).

SpamAssassin:
SpamAssassin is a mature, widely-deployed open source project that serves as a mail filter to identify Spam. SpamAssassin uses a variety of mechanisms including header and text analysis, Bayesian filtering, DNS blocklists, and collaborative filtering databases. SpamAssassin runs on the hosting servers, and filters spam before it reaches your mailbox. This flexible and powerful set of Perl programs, unlike older spam filtering approaches, uses the combined score from multiple types of checks to determine if a given message is spam.

Its primary features are:
Header tests
Body phrase tests.
Bayesian filtering .
Automatic address whitelist/blacklist (AutoWhitelist).
Manual address whitelist/blacklist (ManualWhitelist).
Collaborative spam identification databases (DCC, Pyzor, Razor2)
DNS Blocklists, also known as "RBLs" or "Realtime Blackhole Lists".
Character sets and locales.

Summary Email Accounts:

Web Mail:
Webmail allows you to check your email from a web browser as opposed to a desktop mail application such as Outlook Express or Thunderbird. This means that you can check your email from any web browser.
The following features can be activated at your request:

Email Account Forwarders:
Forwarders allow you to send a copy of all mail from one email address to another. For example, if you have two different email accounts joe@domain.com and joseph@domain.com, you could forward joe@domain.com to joseph@domain.com so you do not need to check both accounts. Note that the mail for a forwarded email address will still be delivered to that address as well.

BoxTrapper:
BoxTrapper protects your inbox from spam by forcing all people not on your white list to reply to a verification email before they can send mail to you.

Autoresponders:
You can use autoresponders to send a message back automatically to anyone who sends an email to a certain account. This can be useful for times when you are on vacation or unavailable, or if you have a generic message that you wish to send for a support email address.

Default E-Mail Address:

The default email address will "catch" any mail that is sent to an invalid email address for your domain. All mail that is sent to an address that does not exist will go to the default email address.

Mailing Lists:

Mailing Lists Send messages to a large group of people.
It can simplify sending messages to a large group of people. You can add a group of email addresses to a mailing list to avoid typing in those addresses each time a mailing is sent. This can be very useful when sending newsletters or other updates to large groups of people.

Import E-mail Accounts/Forwarders:

This feature allows you to use 2 types of files to create multiple email address or email forwarders for your account simultaneously. You may use Excel spreadsheet files (.xls) or comma-separated values sheet, aka CSV file (.csv) to import the data. A CSV file is a plain text file that has been given a .csv extension.

Catch All Email:
In the context of e-mail, a Catch-all usually refers to a mailbox on a domain that will "catch all" of the emails addressed to the domain.

Email Aliases:
An e-mail alias is simply a forwarding e-mail address.

ClamAV Anti-Virus:

ClamAV includes a number of utilities: a command line scanner, automatic database updater and a scalable multi-threaded daemon, running on an anti-virus engine from a shared library.

Addon Domains Subdomains are relative to your account's home directory. The icon signifies your home directory which is home/YourCompany.

Sub Domains:
Subdomains are URLs for different sections of your website. They use your main domain name and a prefix. For example, if your domain is sample.com a sub-domain of your domain might be support.sample.com.

Parked Domains:
Domain parking is the registration of an Internet domain name without using it for services such as e-mail or a website. This may be done to reserve the domain name for future development, to protect against the possibility of cybersquatting or to engage in cybersquatting. Since the domain name registrar will have set name servers for the domain, the registrar or reseller potentially has use of the domain rather than the final registrant.

Bandwidth Report:
This function allows you to see the bandwidth usage for your site. It shows the current month's bandwidth usage as well as your total bandwidth usage. This will include all HTTP (web) and POP (mail) bandwidth usage and may include FTP bandwidth usage if your system administrator has enabled FTP bandwidth logging.

CGI-BIN:
The directory on a Web server in which CGI scripts are typically stored. CGI scripts are text files, not binary files, but the "bin" designation has traditionally been used for any directory that holds programs.

The amount of trade conducted electronically has grown extraordinarily with widespread Internet usage. The use of commerce is conducted in this way, spurring and drawing on innovations in electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web at least at some point in the transaction's lifecycle, although it can encompass a wider range of technologies such as e-mail as well.

Summary Website Control:

24x7 FTP Account:

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to copy a file from one host to another over a TCP/IP-based network, such as the Internet. FTP is built on a client-server architecture and utilizes separate control and data connections between the client and server applications, which solves the problem of different end host configurations (i.e., Operating Systems, file names). FTP is used with user-based password authentication or with anonymous user access.

Anonymous FTP:
A host that provides an FTP service may additionally provide anonymous FTP access. Users typically log into the service with an 'anonymous' account when prompted for user name. Although users are commonly asked to send their email address in lieu of a password, no verification is actually performed on the supplied data; examples of anonymous FTP servers can be found.

Web File Manager:
A file manager or file browser is a computer program that provides a user interface to work with file systems. The most common operations performed on files or groups of files are: create, open, edit, view, print, play, rename, move, copy, delete, search/find, and modify attributes, properties and permissions. Files are typically displayed in a hierarchy. Some file managers contain features inspired by web browsers, including forward and back navigational buttons.

The technique adds a degree of separation between the files used to generate a web page and the URL that is presented to the world.

MIME Types:
An Internet media type, originally called a MIME type after MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) and sometimes a Content-type after the name of a header in several protocols whose value is such a type, is a two-part identifier for file formats on the Internet. The identifiers were originally defined in RFC 2046 for use in e-mail sent through SMTP, but their use has expanded to other protocols such as HTTP, RTP and SIP.
